Lesson Overview

Erin ensures that each student learns the fundamentals of proper vocal technique. You'll learn the integral components such as diaphragmatic breathing, ear training, proper posture, phonetics, diction, articulation, agility, range extension, projection, dynamics, resonation and much more. â€‹ All students will learn healthy ways to properly care and maintain their unique instrument.

 

The second half of the lesson is generally geared towards the performance aspect. You'll be asked to select a song to learn in which you'll not only apply the learned techniques to, you'll also build confidence, uncover self expression, gain emotional awareness, build resiliency, enhance communication skills, storytell through song, stage presence, mic technique, improve physical well-being all while having fun!!​

Term - Vocal Lessons

In Person or Online - Private - Ages 7+

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​These vocal lessons are conducted to a set weekly schedule for the duration of 8 weeks. There are five terms throughout the teaching season. (September thru June)

​

You select the day and time which will best suit your schedule. You may select a different day and time each term if you so choose.

​

 At the end of each term, there is a group class offered to all registrants. This group workshop is included in the enrollment fee.

Flexpass - Vocal Lessons

In Person or Online

Private & Semi - Private - Ages 7+ 

These vocal lessons are not set to any set schedule as you are able to book or reschedule or cancel at your own convenience. These lessons are perfect for someone who may not be able to commit to a set weekly schedule or who may only want a few lessons to brush up on material or seek help preparing for an event / audition.​​​

 Whether you want a lesson every few weeks or once a month, this option is for you!!

Lesson Offerings

 

Erin's vocal tips and tricks!

 

 Stay hydrated! By drinking enough water for your body daily, you decrease sticky mucus build up.

Avoiding caffeinated beverages is best as well!

 

Avoid or strictly limit phonotraumatic activities such as yelling, screaming, excessive throat clearing.

Treat your voice with tender kindness.

 

As with anything, sleep and rest promotes healing. If your voice ever feels strained or tired,

rest it until it no longer feels that way.

The group workshop's curriculum

will vary from term to term, however, we will be working on but not limited to ensemble skills, harmonies, rhythm expansion, voice blending,

enhancing listening skills and ear training and performance development all while exploring different styles and genres. Most importantly, this group environment will build self confidence in a supportive and encouraging music minded community.

These bi/weekly group workshops are included with the term lesson package. Flexpass students as well as the general public may register for a small fee.
