carefully as there is a lot of information prior to your first lesson!

Policy & Registration​

GENERAL

• I conduct my lessons in my home and the address is 9626-79 St. Every student will need to proceed to our backyard and enter through the backdoor. Please let yourself in. All footwear must be removed and placed on the rack provided before proceeding into the basement. Coat / bag hooks are provided and may be used as needed. 

• Please respect my and my family's personal space and belongings. A small waiting area is provided at the bottom of the stairs and a washroom is just down the hall. I ask that you remain in those areas while you are waiting. Our living room, storage room, front and backyards including deck / patio, upstairs space and the use of our exercise equipment is off limits to students and guardians. 

• I ask that you please respect our neighbors and their property. Please try to park only in front of our home. There is plenty of room out front for 2 vehicles if the space is shared appropriately. Please do not block ours or our neighbors driveways and ensure that you and your child are aware that there may be moving vehicles at times. 

• Please be punctual with drop offs and pickups. Please ensure you have made prior arrangements with your child as to where they are to meet you after their lesson. I am not able to oversee or supervise once they leave their lesson.  

• We do have a dog and she may be outside but enclosed in her run while you attend. Please refrain from petting her without my supervision as she may be startled by people entering our yard. If at any time, she is not in her run and our gate is closed please do not enter the yard. 

• IMPORTANT!! Please refrain from coming to lessons with scents on. I’m highly sensitive and will have reactions. This includes strong lotions, perfumes, strong deodorants, detergents, hairsprays, colognes, essential oils etc.

LESSONS

• It is the student’s responsibility to come to lessons prepared, having studied their material and done the necessary work in order to move forward/advance their skills. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to sit in/view their child's lesson to observe progress and oversee requirements. 

• I do not tolerate any abuse towards myself from students, parents and or guardians. I may terminate your lessons at any time throughout the season if I experience any abuse.  Video surveillance is used within the studio for yours and my safety. 

• It is the students/guardians responsibility to purchase any required material, such as but not limited to: sheet music, backing tracks, performance costumes/props, and or books required. 

• Many resources and materials are used to enhance the learning process. Lyrics and or backing vocal tracks are obtained via youtube and or other websites. Every attempt to provide appropriate material is used. However, unexpected pop ups, inappropriate language and or advertisements may result. 

• Lessons may be audio recorded or video recorded for educational purposes only. No videos obtained in lessons shall be posted on social media platforms to protect the privacy of individuals.

• For anyone taking online lessons, they must be conducted in an area of your home that is free from distraction. An office space is ideal or a living space where you are able to comfortably stand and move around if needed. Please take time to set something up that works with your family.

• All students under the age of 12 must have a parent or guardian close by to help with technical requirements for online lessons. 

• In order for success in online learning, students must have 2 electronic devices with internet access. 1 for hosting the online lesson and 1 for playing audio tracks and or vocalizations. This is essential!!

• Google Meet is the main streaming platform I use for online lessons. Student school email addresses do not allow any live event!

VOCAL OPPORTUNITIES

​

• All Flexpass students are highly encouraged to register for the Group Vocal Workshops which are held bi-monthly. These workshops are essential for ones musical growth and gaining skills you can not attain from attending private lessons. 

​​

• There may be performance opportunities throughout the season. Students who display readiness in their craft may be asked to showcase their talents. These opportunities come in many forms such as talent shows, events, adjudicated and non adjudicated festivals, recitals etc. All parents and or guardians will be notified as consent and sign up will be needed.

SCHEDULING & FEES

• You will receive a confirmation email of your recent booking. You will also receive a reminder 24 hours in advance to your lesson. If you need to cancel you can do that through the confirmation or reminder notification. 

• Funds are due at the time of your lesson by either cash or e-transfer to ERIN.L.GOTT@GMAIL.COM ​​

• Repeated no shows and or last minute cancellations will result in loss of privilege to schedule future lessons.
